Jonice M. Johnson


Jonice is a business development professional in the firm’s investment management team specializing in equity management. Jonice has expertise in identifying clients in public and private institutions, corporations, foundations, endowments, and high-net worth individuals.

Previously, Jonice served as Senior Vice President of Public Finance and Head of Business Development for Project Finance at an international investment banking firm. She was instrumental in identifying potential public-private partnerships with municipalities; serving as a liaison between issuers and the organization; screening partnerships by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, and financials; resolving internal priorities; developing negotiation strategies and positions; maintaining professional/personal networks; participating in professional organizations; as well as overseeing the business development team for municipal markets.

Before beginning an investment banking career, Jonice spent six years practicing law in Birmingham, Alabama, representing corporations in all aspects of civil litigation at the state and federal level. She also represented municipalities in various aspects of litigation, as well as serving as bond counsel on municipal bond issues. Currently, she serves on the board for Alabama Appleseed Center for Law and Justice, Inc., and previously served on the board for Girls, Inc. of Central Alabama. Jonice received her Juris Doctorate from Vanderbilt University Law School, and attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham where she obtained a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Computer Science. She maintains her law license, holds FINRA Licenses 52, and is currently preparing to take the Series 65 exam.
