Calvin Stamps
Calvin previously served as the Director of Capital Markets with an Atlanta-based Investment Banking firm whereby he had responsibility for managing corporate and public client relationships as well as originating and executing capital markets and corporate finance transactions. Calvin’s client relationships included Fortune 500 corporations and city and state pension and retirement funds. Calvin possesses a wealth of knowledge in a diverse range of investment products. Calvin began his investment-banking career with Wachovia securities in Atlanta, before moving to JPMorgan Equity Capital Markets in New York. During his tenure with Wachovia Securities he held the positions of Institutional Fixed Income Investment Officer and Financial Consultant. While at JPMorgan, Calvin was responsible for conducting company and industry research, as well as performing valuation analysis for over $10 billion in equity and equity-linked transactions.
With a strong entrepreneurial spirit, Calvin has also enjoyed stints as Founder and CEO of Millennium Health Ventures, LLC a healthcare holding company which established a growing network of five outpatient physical therapy clinics in Georgia. He also served as CEO and Board Member of Surgeon’s Choice Assistants. Calvin has an MBA in Finance from Mercer University and a Bachelors of Science in Finance from the University of Alabama. He completed the UCLA Mergers & Acquisitions Executive Education program. Calvin holds the series 50, 54 and 65 securities licenses.
He currently serves on the Board of Trustees for Wiley College whereby he is the Chairman of the Finance & Investment Committee. Calvin also serves on the Board of The Georgia United Methodist Foundation and is Chair of the Investment Committee.

Tasha Shepherd
Prior to joining Bretwood Tasha was a municipal finance professional with eight years’ experience serving governments, financing authorities, and non-profit organizations. Tasha’s responsibilities include financial analysis, transaction, and marketing support.
Having worked on nearly $2.5 billion in aggregate municipal deal flow, her engagements have included state agency issuers, major cities, as well as a wide range of local issuers, encompassing airports, seaports, transportation, redevelopment, education, and other infrastructure projects. Tasha has experience in capital fund planning, analysis of project financings, related bond pricing and investor relations.
Tasha has a Master of Public Administration specializing in Metropolitan Planning and Urban Affairs from DePaul University and a Bachelor of Science degree from Tennessee State University in Political Science and Philosophy. As a graduate of DePaul University’s School of Public Service, she has been immersed in the practices of local government agencies ranging from analyzing budgets and CAFRs to following policy making through the legislative process. While completing her Master’s degree she also worked in local municipal finance as a sales assistant, learning both public policy and public finance simultaneously.

Christopher A. Johnson
Most recently, Chris served as an Investment Banker with Stifel Nicolaus providing statistical and analytical advice to finance executives. His responsibilities at Bretwood includes public finance, asset management, and providing strategic advice to various public and private entities. Chris joined Sterne Agee & Leach, Inc., now known as Stifel Nicolaus, in 2010. Starting in 2010 as a Public Finance Banking Associate, Chris quickly rose through the ranks surpassing most of his peers, to become Vice President.
Chris has a Master’s degree as well as a Bachelor of Science degree from Vanderbilt University. Chris’ journey at Vanderbilt began when he was offered a scholarship with the Vanderbilt University Football team and he played the position of linebacker from 2005-2009. While Chris is a talented athlete and sports fanatic, he had an equally goal-oriented focus with his choices of coursework while at Vanderbilt. This includes, but is not limited to, corporate valuation, venture capital, private equity, equity markets, risk management, economics and econometrics. Chris also has a Series 50 securities license.
Chris is a Birmingham, Alabama native, and outside of work has varied interests such as sports, fitness, music and film as well as serving on the Board of Directors for the Birmingham Airport Authority. A family man, Chris loves spending time with his wife, son and granddaughter.

Michael J. Ross, CFA
As a Senior Credit Analyst, Michael joins Bretwood with nearly 40 years of professional experience encompassing both the sell-side and buy-side of the fixed income markets having performed multiple analytical and portfolio risk management roles. He has served as a member of investment management teams of institutional fixed-income assets for both taxable and tax-exempt senior securities. During his tenure on the buy side as a portfolio management team member, he made recommendations for high- yield and investment grade municipal securities at investment management companies such as USAA Investment Management., American Express, and Lord Ibbett’s High Yield Municipal Bond Funds. Michael is an expert in conducting surveillance strategies to monitor portfolio quality and has used state-of-the-art databases such as Merritt Research’s CreditScope and Bloomberg to monitor a broad spectrum of securities in multiple sectors. Mike’s experience includes over 20 years on the Broker/ Dealer Side as a Desk Analyst/ Municipal Credit Strategist, where he worked directly with public finance bankers on issuers’ primary debt issues, including advanced and current refunding bond issues and advisory-related support services. He has also worked for two major rating agencies—Moody’s Investors Service and Duff and Phelps. Mike has served on the Board of Governors of the National Federation of Municipal Analysts and is a Past President of the Society of Municipal Analysts and has received numerous All-Star recognitions from Smith’s Research & Gradings. Michael earned his CFA in 1993, is a graduate of Roosevelt University’s Walter Heller College of Business and attended the Graduate School of Business of the University of Texas at San Antonio.
